The opposite of a 24/7 tracker. MyBuddy is a location utility designed for privacy. • Zero Friction: Your contacts do NOT need the app. They receive location via secure SMS & Email. • Smart Automation: Set automatic Place Alerts (e.g., "Arrived at Airport") or allow trusted On-Demand requests. • Privacy First: No constant background tracking means better battery life. Safety without the stalking. Built by an 84-year-old solo developer with life experience.

I’m Terry (an experienced 84 years old). I spent the last year building MyBuddy to challenge the "always-on" tracking model used by apps like Life360. I believe safety should be a utility, not a surveillance system. The big difference isn't just privacy—it's how it works. Most safety apps require everyone to install the app. MyBuddy does not. You (the App User) authorize a contact. They (the Buddy) receive a secure web link. The Result: Your phone automatically sends the location or Place Alert from your pocket—you don't even need to unlock it. They receive the update via SMS & Email and never need to visit an App Store. 🧪 Try the "No-Install" Simulation: It is hard to explain how seamless the "SMS-to-Map" flow is, so I built a Live Web Demo on my site. It simulates exactly what your friends/family would see on their phones. 👉 Try the Demo here: https://placemeguardian.com/demo... I would love for you to test the simulation and tell me: Does this "No App Needed" approach feel more respectful than constant tracking? Thanks, Terry
