@anna_0x @utestme Hey guys! Yeah so because of various restrictions from our publishers, the app isn't available everywhere yet. We're live across most of Europe and North America, as well as a handful of other countries around the world including Hong Kong and New Zealand.

Hey Product Hunt! Mogul News is a growing, London-based startup on a mission to make high-quality journalism more accessible for everybody. We're a subscription service (currently iOS only, sorry!) that allows our users to read handpicked content from the world's best publishers including The Economist, Financial Times, Bloomberg, The Times, and more! We have 3 main features in the app: • Collections: groups of 6-8 articles that offer a deep dive into a certain topic, published every Saturday. For example, we recently published "The Future of Food", which included articles about how current food consumption habits are unsustainable, how "meatless" startups mean big business, and how to feed a rapidly-growing global population. • Perspectives: groups of 3 articles that offer diverse perspectives on a certain issue, published every Wednesday. For example, we recently created a Perspective on "Killer Robots", which discussed the various different views on how technology will change conflict. • Briefings: published every morning, these are groups of 5-6 cards that you can swipe through in just a few minutes and get caught up on the main headlines. Unlike Collections and Perspectives, which are made up of articles from our publishers, our Briefings are written by our in-house editorial team. Alongside the above, we publish a variety of articles across business, politics and technology every day (also from our world-class publishers). These articles are generated in your main homepage feed, and are pushed back into the "Categories" section of the app as more articles are published. It sounds pretty cool but it would be great if we could try it out without creating an account upfront. I’m so tired of creating accounts that I end up not wanting after a few days and having to delete them, which is not always easy. Also, it doesn’t work in landscape mode on the iPad which is truly annoying. Is it so hard to implement that feature?

@anna_0x Hey Anna, yeah I completely understand where you're coming from. We've had to set up account creation in order to track who can/can't access the app, but we've tried to make cancellation as simple as possible. It's just a case of clicking "Cancel" on your profile, answering a 10-second form to let us know why you're cancelling, and that's it. We've also got a reminder email that everyone receives before the end of their free trial, so there are fewer people forgetting to cancel. In terms of getting the app to work in landscape mode on iPad, I'll add it to our roadmap to try and get this sorted for you ASAP. Thanks for all your feedback, Anna!

@chris_marshall3 it’s nice to know that it’s easy to delete one’s account 🙂 Maybe you could support sign in with Apple though? That would be cool. I’ll be waiting for the iPad update 👍🏻

@anna_0x Supporting Apple Pay to allow for easier sign up is definitely something we're considering. However, we're currently choosing not to use that path because of the charge Apple will take. We may change our minds in the future, though.
