Hello everyone 👋 My name is Rüdiger and I am the head behind Mnestik. Mnestik grew out of a practical need: I had to make sure important deadlines were truly met. Over the years I developed a reminder logic that doesn’t just ping on the due date but works with individual lead times and flexible reminder patterns—so preparation actually starts in time. At some point, it became clear that this logic doesn't just apply to reports and deadlines. The same principle fits so much of what matters to us: personal anniversaries, family events, cultural holidays, religious festivals, commemorative days, campaigns—often recurring and easy to overlook until it's too late to plan something meaningful. With Mnestik, we applied this logic to all kinds of events and extend it across four calendar systems: Gregorian, Julian, Jewish, and Islamic. You no longer have to convert anything; events from different calendars are placed equally on a common timeline and follow the same reminder rules. Important for groups and communities: Reminders can be addressed specifically to individuals or entire groups (e.g., families, teams, church congregations). This ensures that preparations reach the right people at the right time. Mnestik is currently only available in German. Internationalization (i18n) is the next major step on the roadmap.
