activity monitor is the app i open at 11pm to figure out why my fans sound like a 737. the menu bar approach is the right shape for it. one ask β does it surface cpu temp + fan rpm? istat has it, but istat hasn't shipped a real refresh in years.

@qifengzhengΒ Hey! Great question β and honestly one of the hardest parts of building Mnara.
CPU temperature is currently estimated based on thermal state + CPU load (shown with an "estimated" label so it's honest). Fan RPM on Apple Silicon M1/2/3/4 is completely locked behind private APIs for sandboxed apps β Apple locked it tight on M1/2/3/4.
Both real CPU temp and fan RPM are planned for v1.5 via some helpers β same approach iStatMenus uses. It requires a separate installation step but gives real sensor data.
Really appreciate the feedback β this is exactly what helps prioritize the roadmap! π
@alan_mouhliΒ the 'estimated' label is the part i didn't expect β most apps just show a number and pretend. the v1.5 helper path is the one i'd want β istatmenus's installer is fine but feels 2014. any plan to wrap the helper install in a one-click signing flow?

@qifengzhengΒ Yes, that's exactly the plan β a proper signed helper with a one-click install flow, not a 2014-era pkg drop. The iStatMenus approach works but the UX friction is real and I don't want that for Mnara. Adding this to the v1.5.
