MinuteFile turns local meeting recording folders into private, searchable transcripts on your Mac. No account, upload, meeting bot, or subscription.

The local-first angle is really appealing, especially for work calls I don't want bouncing around the cloud. One thing that would make it click for me is adding quick export options, like dropping a transcript straight into a Markdown file or sending selected snippets to Notes so I can paste them into project docs without copying paragraph by paragraph.
@umuto39k yes, there's a share/export button that lets you export to Markdown/HTML/text or open up the native macOS sharing sheet. Try the the trial out and let me know you think. I've just added some samples bundled into the app so you can see how it works without messing with your own meeting/audio files.
@umuto39k Yes, that's supported. You can export to plain text, HTML or Markdown. And there's macOS native sharing sheet support so you can send it to any supporting app.
Try it out. There's a free trial.
(I thought I replied to you earlier but I can't find it anymore)
the local only angle is genuinely refreshing, especially with all the bots joining meetings these days. one thing that would make this a no brainer for me is speaker diarization, like actually labeling who said what instead of just a wall of text
@hasankzlasnnhs It does that. There's also functionality that let you rename the speakers ("speaker 1" -> James, merge them ("speaker 1"="speaker 3"), etc.
Try it out. Free trial :)
Local-first processing is a great angle, and the zero-account setup is genuinely refreshing. One thing that would make this a daily tool for me: let me right-click any audio file in Finder and have MinuteFile add it to the transcription queue without opening the app first. A quick services-level integration would make it feel less like a separate step in my workflow.
@nermina7zv that's a very interesting idea! I would look into it. But just to check: there is an option in the app where you can make it autodetect new meetings in folders you have added and process them when you open the app. You'd have the launch the app, but I think it'd be faster and easier. Would that help? You can try it out, it's a free trial.
