Microphone Test
How does the no-guess board guarantee actually work behind the scenes, and is it something I can switch off mid-game if I want the classic random challenge?
Microphone Test
@basogulgon30432 It's entirely client-side. On your first click, the game places the mines with that square (and its neighbours) guaranteed empty, then runs a logic solver over the layout the same deductions a person
makes: "this number already touches all its mines, so its other squares are safe," plus comparing overlapping numbers to pin down shared squares. It only keeps a board the solver can finish with pure logic; if it can't, it reshuffles and retries (within a fraction of a second), falling back to a normal board only if it can't find one in time (Expert is the hard case).

@basogulgon30432 also just added a No-guess / Random toggle next to the difficulty buttons. Flip it to Random and hit New Game for the classic can-force-a-guess challenge. It sticks between visits
how does the personal best-time dashboard actually remember my times if i am not logged in, is it just stored in my browser or do i need to make an account to keep it across devices
Microphone Test
@magdenmahm80499 Purely your browser's local storage no account, no server involved. Times/streaks live on that device and persist across visits, but not across devices. If you sign in, on login the game pushes your local stats up and syncs, so they follow you to other devices. So: browser only unless you make an account, then cross-device. That answer is already correct as-is.
Love that the no-guess option exists, it makes the game feel fair instead of frustrating. The local best-time tracker is a nice touch for keeping things competitive without needing an account.
Love how the no-guess mode actually lives up to its name, finally finished the expert board without a single guess. The personal best dashboard working without an account is a nice touch too.
the no-guess boards are a really thoughtful addition, especially since classic minesweeper randomly generated puzzles can be so frustrating to hit. love that the personal best tracker works without an account too.
