I’m the maker of miconvert.com, and I’m excited to finally share it with you today!
🚀 What inspired me to build this?
As someone who works a lot with different file formats—videos, audio, documents, and images—I constantly found myself jumping between tools just to convert simple files. Many existing converters were either:
Overloaded with ads
Required complicated installations
Limited in formats unless you paid
Or simply too slow
I wanted something fast, clean, and straightforward — no friction, no unnecessary steps.
🎯 The problem I wanted to solve
File conversion should be simple.
Upload → Convert → Download. That’s it.
But in reality, it often turns into:
Create an account
Install software
Upgrade to Pro
Deal with popups
I built miconvert.com to remove that friction and make file conversion accessible and seamless for everyone.
🔄 How the process evolved
Originally, this started as a small internal tool just for my own use. But as I shared it with friends and colleagues, I noticed a common pattern — everyone needed quick conversions regularly.
So I focused on:
Expanding supported formats
Improving conversion speed
Simplifying the UI as much as possible
Making it work smoothly across devices
The biggest lesson during this launch?
Simplicity is much harder than it looks. Every feature added had to justify its existence.
