I’ve always loved little touches like RunCat365 on Windows, so I brought the idea to the browser with smoother animations, more customization, and a cleaner look. Now you can have animated characters right in your browser toolbar, running or moving faster as your memory usage climbs. @joey_zhu_seopage_ai Thank you! At the moment, it only works with Chromium-based browsers, since Firefox doesn’t provide API access to memory usage. So it should work perfectly with Safari, Brave, and other Chromium-based browsers. :)

@cruise_chen That’s exactly why I built it! :) It even includes a graph for those who love stats. I’ve optimized it as much as possible, since loading the frames very fast can get resource-intensive. I think I’ve found a good balance, though. The animation also goes idle and caps the FPS when the browser isn’t in use, to protect resources.

Hey man, this is super cool — I’ve already installed it! At first, I thought there might be more settings, but then I realized it’s even simpler than I expected. Once I got that, it totally made sense. Sometimes minimal is better.

I’ll need to watch it for a bit to really get a feel for how it behaves under different loads. One thing that would help: maybe a little preview somewhere to see how each pet looks at different speeds? That way, it’d be easier to pick the one I want to use.

Also, quick question — is this tracking memory usage for a single tab, or the whole browser? Just curious how it’s measuring things under the hood.

Love the vibe though — super fun and lighthearted!
