Generate your Google Meet links in Slack using /meet. 🚀 Links open using the correct Google Account - no longer switch from personal to work (authuser issue!) 🚀 Auto-update Slack status when joining a call 🚀 Random movie quotes, customizable settings
I am excited to share my first product - a powerful Google Meet <> Slack integration.
You can now generate instant Google Meet meetings from Slack by typing /meet in any channel, group or DM.
⭐️ Your meetings will open using the Google Account you choose when setting up the app. This means you no longer have to switch between multiple Google accounts to get into your work meeting - solving the Google authuser issue that many people complain about.
⭐️ Slack status automatically updates for everyone who joins the meeting. Users can customise the icon, status and duration or turn this off.
⭐️ Random movie quote with every generated meeting to bring some fun into your calls. Turn off if you want!
The app was approved by Google and Slack.

@varchar255 nice; I was looking for something like this 6 months ago! Will give a spin.
Finally! I've been looking for something like this for a while. It's already really awesome, but just curious, any additional features you've got on the roadmap? @varchar255
@michael_ashmead Thanks Michael! I tend to turn off notifications on macOS when joining a meet or just before screensharing, having something do that automatically would be cool. Something I will explore.

Great product!!! Do you have any plans an adding /meet command to threads?
@new_user_09020221980d0cf6b Thank you. It is still impossible to use any commands inside threads but as a workaround I'm planning an option to start a new meeting via a shortcut (click of a button that you can use in threads and normal conversations too).
