Hello product hunters!

Here i announce you what i made on the weekend.
Yeah, it's my side project, to solve pain in my eyes when reading much blog posts, especially at night.

After tweeting to some people (more on it later, maybe on some blog post? 😊),
i've decided to make it available for everyone, also the source code, so everyone could be happy to use this and probably improve this in future.

So, let's discuss this for further improvements.
Let me know if you have any thoughts.

My eyes and me, we thank you :) You should put it on chrome webstore if you want most people here to be able to try it Also, using `$("body, body *").addClass("mata-friendly");` in js make it quite slow on big pages. Couldn't the same be achieved adding the "mata-friendly" class on body and applying styles in css on `.mata-friendly, .mata-friendly *`,... Show More

I don't know why, but I don't like the black backgrounds for reading. It annoys me and I always leave the site.

See also BeeLine Reader (http://www.beelinereader.com) for a tool that makes reading easier. It has a mode that changes the background color, and it also applies color gradients that help you read faster by speeding up line transitions. Disclosure: I'm a co-founder.
