MARKET Protocol is disrupting the industry of derivatives by brining them onto the blockchain and enabling traders to gain the price exposure to any asset in a safe, trustless and solvent manner without having to own them.

Simply put, with MARKET Protocol you can short any crypto, trade stocks like Apple or Amazon, even trade your locked tokens, and create any kind of asset class and trade it against your crypto holdings. No margin calls or forced liquidations. No centralized custody of funds, clearing houses and fees for settlement mechanisms. You get to chose the Oracle, define the base and reference asset, expiration date of the contract, price floor and cap. Flexible, decentralized, and much more. Visit marketprotocol.io to learn about the future of crypto trading!

The MARKET Protocol dApp has been created to allow traders to trustlessly gain exposure to on-chain, cross-chain and off-chain assets without the need to own or borrow them. That means you will be able to trade anything from bitcoin to Apple stock while staying on the Ethereum blockchain. Our current version of the dApp is used for contract creation and deployment, testing Oracle queries and exploring existing contracts that have previously been deployed. MARKET Protocol contracts represent a synthetic relationship that requires contract creators to define trading parameters like base currency, reference asset, price floor and cap, and an expiration date, since they settle at a future date and price, similarly to traditional derivatives contracts. The next dApp release will be a Simulated Exchange on the Testnet, allowing the users to trade deployed contracts against a bot.
