Maple Budget Canada comes from a personal need to budget better. Having a horrible track record of spending beyond my means which at times has gotten me in trouble(oops) and coming from a family where we didn't talk about money or budgeting I didn't realize what a crucial role it plays in life until I moved out of my parents basement.
I made a lot of mistakes along the way and after learning the hard way I decided to create Maple Budget to improve my spending habits(finally).
