Hey PH, Co-creators of Mapchatter here, hoping to get your feedback on our new map-based messaging app. We spend a lot of time working at coffee shops. The idea came when we were in downtown Austin wondering how crowded a nearby cafe was. Rather than arriving to find no open seats, we thought it’d be nice to just message and ask somebody that was already there. Since launch, we’ve learned of some other use cases: - In Colorado, folks ask about mountain conditions for skiing/snowboarding - At Universities, students message others in the same class - Someone checked to see if a stranger in another city was okay after a terrorist attack Humans are instinctually curious about what’s happening in their world and we’re excited to see how we can make that information more accessible. We’ll be around to answer any questions and would love to hear your thoughts!
