I built a general news aggregator as a web developer and because I am a maker myself so the idea came to me just by doing some prints and surfing the internet and I was also inspired by the famous tech news aggregator Techmeme.com, so I said to myself why not build a news aggregator for the makers community and try to give something useful for them. And the idea behind Makersnews was born. It took me around a month to code it. And I co-founded it with my brother who became a partner. And at the moment we are focusing on developing it and maintaining it and spreading its value to the community via facebook page and linkedin page.
