The 2020-21 lockdown was really tough. The pandemic was really serious but for city dwellers with small spaces and more chances of getting COVID-19, it was horrid. I wondered where could be a possible getaway. After witnessing a lot of hacker houses popping up in the U.S, I tried searching for one in Europe. I couldn't find one! The closest was in Bali. So I created this Makers House as an answer to that with a TypeForm. I really hope Makers House can go beyond just a hacker house and help strengthen and build out the intra-personal networks in Europe for the ordinary person who doesn't live or plan to move to Silicon Valley and isn't a Stanford grad. Time to create a startup city and build the Miami of Europe ⛵️ The first house will be on an island in sunny Croatia. With great activities plan, some special guest drop ins and buildathons planned - I hope it can be a great experience after such a long 2020-21. If you would like to visit to hang out for a few days or come live (we have some needs based scholarships available), let me know 🙂
