An open-source badge to put your mark on every project.

#2 Product of the DaySeptember 30, 2018

Graeme and I have been working on this little project to help makers create a consistent presence across their product/makes. It's a badge that uses the Product Hunt API to pull stats from the makers profile and can be customised with HTML or social link. It's also open source so feel free to contribute!

Would you recommend this product?

Hey guys, MakerBadge is for makers by makers, a consistent mark for all your products. You customise the position, content and we have designed a few themes too. This is a little project we put together in a few days so will be working on it over time. It was my first time using the Product Hunt API, it was great! Feedback welcome and feel free to send a PR or add an issue to the Github repo, this is a project by makers for makers after all πŸ˜ƒ

That is a brilliant idea! I thought about building something like this when I struggled to give myself credit for the projects I've worked on, so it's awesome that you've made it πŸ˜ƒ

@tcodinat thanks for the comment! It's probably a good starting point to make your own version too. Having used it myself a bit more, I found just a blank badge is probably better where I insert only customHTML

Excellent work! Undoubtedly many PH Makers can make good use of it! Going to grab all the js source from your repo soon! πŸ˜„ @graeme_fulton where is the ship stream!?

@arminulrich haha thanks Armin, definite validation for Maker Widget! I guess I could try a ship stream, never done live streams before, I'm scared πŸ˜‚

@arminulrich I'm writing today, and really can't imagine streaming my writing process πŸ˜… I already get uncomfortable with someone inside my dropbox paper or google doc watching me edit! I'll give it a go when I'm doing some code or design in the next week
