#3 Product of the WeekJuly 02, 2014

  • Michael J. KovisI built a Death Star with my mind.

Unobtrusive (if using Pro version). Easy setup and integration with Gmail. Android notifications on phone.

Could use a better integration with Gmail for Android. Currently uses labels to add check marks for read and unread.

I'm shocked this product doesn't have more reviews. Have to offset the one negative review with a positive.

I've been using Mailtrack for a year now. Prior to that I tested many different online tools to track email from Gmail and none worked well enough for. HubSpot's SideKick worked wonderfully, but then became more complex as they integrated it into their CRM.

For me, I want simplicity. I want to know when my emails were read. That way it saves me the guess work of the email being delivered and read.

I highly recommend using Mailtrack and purchasing the Pro version! It's worth the minimal cost.

Michael J. Kovis has used this product for one year.

    Great tool

Price and having to upgrade to pro version to remove the signature.

    Too expensive in my opinion.

I was looking for a good solution to track when emails that I send are opened after right inbox disabled their functionality. MailTrack is by far the best I've found. It's awesome! quick tip: disable it adding "sent via mailtrack" from your signature by turning it off in settings.

@_jacksmith Thank you so much for you trust and support! From all the MailTrack Team :)
Stephen Chip@stephenchip · Co-founder,
@conradolamas I only see an option for a 6 mo., 1 yr or 2 yr plan. Do you offer a month-to-month plan to test the premium offering before committing to 6, 12 or 24 months.

@stephenchip Thx for your interest. Unfortunately, we don't. But we do have a 30-day money back guarantee if you're not satisfied: Let me know if you need more info!

Very simple and non-disruptive. My biggest hesitation in using these email read-receipt tools, is informing recipients that I'm tracking their behavior. It bugs me slightly when I get a personal email from someone that's using these services (I see the http request in the status bar to a 3rd party service like Signals or embedded short URLs).

@rrhoover Yes! See my comment above.

@rrhoover I haven't seen any issues with it calling out to a specific url etc when not using link tracking (with this product at least)

@GeoffreyWeg ha, I think we were typing at the same time. You win this time.

@rrhoover I will agree with you on this. However, I use Streak which automatically tracks all outgoing emails which is necessary for a majority of my work. While it can be disabled easily, its an extra step that I often forget when emailing someone that is more personal than work (like you and @GeoffreyWeg ). I've never looked to see if it can be disabled by contact and not be email. Might be more friendly that way.

@rrhoover Pixelblock is my favorite antidote. It is amazing to see how many tracking pixels are out there right now.
