We believe that the ultimate happiness is that quest for a balanced life and the successes we might celebrate along the way. We believe that financial balance is the platform for a balanced life. That's why we starting writing beautiful code that led us here.
@varunrazora At the end of the day, we know that the subject we have picked has been tackled in the past. The way we differentiate is by Philosophy and our set of values, really:
- We believe in people diversifying their product and service portfolio so they use the best in class in any product or service category and I don't mean just online services and software-based products. But rather, identifying the categories of products and services one needs for a balanced life.
- We think privacy-first. We are at a deep layer of our existence committed to preserving people's privacy and in fact helping them to do so. And in that endeavour, understanding where an individual's subscriptions lie, is an important and key step. Each company you have a subscription with, knows a little or somethings more something about you. That's your data. We want you to know about the impact of the data you have with them. In that sense, moving along the lines of GDPR. How many people do actually know how their data is used by the products and services they have entered into a contract with them by integrating their product or service into their home. We have for instance started by providing the country where the company behind a product or service operates. Because ultimately, the country where a product or service is based off of, determines the legal grounds under which that company is more likely to behave and act.
And the architecture of our software and the way it's developed is also quite interesting for people to learn from as we document our approach. Our software is almost exclusively backend-based, in that most of its code is actually returned as HTTP response as HTML with very little tiny pieces of Javascript and a lot of CSS to animate the frontend.
Stuff like that. Let me know if you want me to develop any of the points. Sorry for the long response. But mainly, thank you very much for your question.

@sindoc Thankyou for explain the uniqueness of your product. It always great when founders really care for their products. My suggestion for you to please add these points to PH because it can make the change for sure
We believe that the best way to create a software product is to start by solving your own problems. That's how Lutino started out. We couldn't find a good application for managing our recurring expenses, so we made one. In the beginning, we ourselves were the target audience and decided what was important and what was not. That gave us a good head start on delivering a breakout product that is simple and focused on the problem at hand. Of course, we want other people to use our software and give us their feedback so we can make it even better.
As one of the early customers of Lutino, I find it not only necessary but also practical. I love how the creators are building it with care and attention to detail; and how they prioritize privacy.
My immediate ask is automation, not needing me to enter entries manually.
How do I picture the ultimate product? Well, Lutino will be an essential tool of any professional with the following three:
- Automation
- Privacy
- AI-powered recommendations

I currently track my expenses by category but haven't broken out which are recurring and which aren't, which I've been thinking about more and more lately. so excited to see a tool that offers this type of tracking!
@taleesita You will be happy to know that we are working on coding a piece of software that is capable of detecting recurring expenses from normal CSV bank statements you may choose to import.
As a side note, and on the non-functional side, for those that are interested:
The system is designed to support workflows whereby the data is removed with the session so we are all good, privacy-wise. Again, we believe that people with proper skills are shying away from providing useful and innovative capabilities for personal finance because they are afraid they may not be able to protect fellow people's data. But this is exactly the types of nuances we should make in order

Cool product! I personally like the reporting part of it. Multiuser seems awesome too! Not sure if the pricing model is suitable for others but its just feels like "get a subscription to know about your subscriptions" lol :) I have created an account. It is showing my currency as Euro and I have got no idea how to change it. (Some) menus are showing "writing I" pointer instead of "hand" pointer (see the Account one).
Since your app is very much like "Manual" i.e. we need to enter the amount, start date, etc. manually, I have another idea to upscale your app. Why don't you provide a payment card which is connected with our debit/credit card. And, we just use your card everywhere. Then, you will be easily able to fetch information from your card to show us where are we spending money. I am not sure how to get this thing done, but that would be the best (and easiset) way of tracking subscription money.
Congratulations on the launch!
Thank you so much

And the many others who upvoted. To be honest, we (Kaveh and I) didn't expect to receive so much love, so fast. We love what we do and build a relationship with the product with dynamics that are different from you guys (absolutely gender-inclusive of course :-) (this is one of the few things I like about American English)) seeing the product after we started giving it life when the COVID lockdown hit.
You are all welcome to try it and give us feedback. There's a month worth of free trial to which you have immediate access, without having to put in your credit card info. Because at the end of the day, we don't know each other and I wouldn't expect you guys to trust us with that info. But if you think that the software is giving you value, then feel free to pay for it. The money you give us will be put to good use. Like I said, earlier, we have lots and lots on our roadmap and release plan. And yes, we do make a difference between a roadmap and a release plan :-)
As we interact with our customers, we of course also learn and here's a write up on our most recent learnings.
The Getting Started with Lutino is a guide that I will continue to update as I learn more about our new and nascent community. Enjoy reading it:
