Lowkey is a music journaling social app. Every day you get notified to share a song from your recently played tracks on Spotify or Apple Music. Customize a 3D visualizer to match the song, then post to see what your friends are jamming to. Communicate your mood through music, build your music taste profile and never forget that song from last summer. Discover music through people you like, and discover people through the music they like.
I wanted to create an app centered around music taste, not how you look, what you wear, what you do etc. Another deign choice is no feed unless you follow people yourself to move away from an algorithm trying to keep you on an app, brain rot, AI-slop and back to the roots of social networks: humans - specifically friends and family, connecting with each other in a soulful way.
I really like this idea. I can already see my playlist growing a lot if I start using this. I’ve been sharing playlists with friends through another app but we barely use it anymore so getting a simple update once a day feels like a much better fit.
@zi_woo thank you. That's precisely one of the use cases for the app. I've been able to discover a lot of new music, outside of what I listen to usually, via friends on the app. Would love to hear your thoughts on the app once you've tried it.
