Hey everyone! I'm Ross, indie dev from England. I built Lockish because I kept leaving sensitive apps open on my Mac — banking, messages, emails — and anyone walking past my desk could just see everything. macOS doesn't have a built-in way to lock individual apps, so I made one. Lockish sits in your menu bar and lets you protect any app with Touch ID or your password. Switch away from a protected app and it locks automatically. Switch back and you get the Touch ID prompt. That's basically it. A few things I'm proud of: It's completely local. No accounts, no cloud, nothing leaves your Mac Works with Touch ID so unlocking is instant — no typing passwords You can set different lock timeouts per app It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription. I don't think a utility like this should cost monthly I'd love to hear what you think. If you've got feature requests or questions about how it works under the hood, fire away — I'll be hanging around all day.
