After years of manually parsing sosreport outputs—grepping through hundreds of files to find the one misconfigured sysctl or the silent OOM killer—I decided to automate the entire process. Linux Diagnostic Analyzer takes an SOS report or SUSE supportconfig archive and produces a full health dashboard in seconds. It checks 12 categories: CPU/memory, storage/LVM, network drops, SELinux/AppArmor, kernel tuning, containers, NTP sync, systemd services, and more. Each server gets a health score from 0–100 with specific, actionable recommendations. The tool is completely free. No signup, no API key, no rate-gated trial. Just upload and get your results. You can export everything as PDF, Excel, or JSON. I built this with Claude Code (the irony of an AI helping build a Linux sysadmin tool is not lost on me).
