Linkkle

All your important links in one place

#3 Product of the DayJanuary 03, 2018

Most of us use social media in our daily lives, we all have mutliple profiles and share urls almost daily. Sadly the majority of social media sites only offer one url per profile. Using linkkle you can add upto 10 links and replace your social media profile url to your linkkle profile and have all your important links in one place.

how is different from linktree (linktr.ee) or campsite (campsite.bio)?

@xozai those are directed at Instagram, Linkkle is more broad and doesn't have some of the same restrictions such as pricing (in linktr.ees case) I would say those two are almost the same in their targeted user base.
@xozai @p_maloney great to see some more similar apps to Linktree popping up! Linktree is actually free forever. It has a pro plan for power users but the free one suits most! Check it out :) https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Whilst you have some screenshots which show what the page would look like, I would highly recommend also having some example/demo profiles on the website to show users what it looks like before they go ahead and sign up. Those testimonials for example could link to their Linkkle profiles.
@theashtube that's a good idea. @aparkhills mentioned about sample profiles too.

I have found better alternatives for the same service.

Pros:

Free

Just tried signing up via Facebook log-in but received “Not Found (#404)” message 🙁
@cindy_kim Hi Cindy, sorry I think you hit the sign in page not the register: https://linkkle.com/user/register Once registered you can link your accounts and use the quick logins.
Thanks for hunting @p_maloney, when did you start working on this great idea?
@abadesi Hey! It started late 2016. I'm a web developer and had a very basic concept what I used to share my links/work with my clients. A few of my developer friends started using it too and the idea grew into Linkkle. I saw a need for people to have a link hub, not just developers but bloggers and other social media users too. We are on twitter @mylinkkle where we will note any improvements and such too.
Nice idea! I got design feedback if your looking for it (from the image uploaded): padding is off between cover bg and first button. Have you explored a two column layout for the social buttons? It could use the space a bit better. Have you explored adding the platform icons? Could be a quick test with fontawesome and might help the use scan with an extra element of identity.
@tony_murphy thanks for the feedback! The avatar upload needs a cropper to keep them square, only noticed that today actually! I toyed with two column but the longer link titles knocked the buttons down a line and it didn't look great. The icons are a great idea, I'm using fontawesome already so not a huge jump.
