Firewalls, SIEMs, Zero Trust tools are all valuable, but they assume that once a device is admitted it can be trusted to communicate freely. That assumption is where breaches live. I started asking: what if both sides of every conversation had to independently agree before the first packet moved? Not a policy pushed from a controller. Not an agent on the device. A bilateral contract, enforced at the network layer, with a cryptographic record of every decision. That question turned into two years of work. What started as a simple trust model evolved into a complete governance architecture with four primitives, a hash-chained evidence chain that can never be reset, and a live deployment proving the concept at scale. One more thing: AI agents are first-class governed entities in LatSync. The same engine that governs a printer or a cellular base station governs an AI agent. It cannot override its own network-layer governance. That is not a feature. It is an architectural guarantee.
