@raphchabaud LaTeX is essentially Markdown on steroids. You don't write documents in a WYSIWYG manner but in raw text files. You set specific flags to format the text or change the layout. People use it most often for scientific papers, especially if you have the need for mathematical formulas. Once you're used to LaTeX, you want to use it for almost anything.
