Hello everyone, Uncle Chua here! 👋 Here is a little background on why I created Kopi Kaki. The Inspiration & The Problem: We all know the chaos of the lunch hour drink order. Someone shouts, "Who wants drinks?" and suddenly you are scribbling on a napkin or tapping another quick note on your phone, trying to decipher the mispelt words, and panicking at the counter because you forgot who wanted "Peng" (iced) and who wanted "Kosong" (no sugar). I wanted to solve the cognitive load of the Kopi run and replace the messy paper or note trail with a clean digital list. How the Process Evolved: When I started, I thought I needed complex user accounts and cloud syncing. But as I tested it, I realized that for a coffee run, speed is everything. Nobody wants to log in just to order a Teh-O. My approach shifted to simplicity and privacy. I decided to build it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with local storage. No logins, no data tracking, just a fast tool that works instantly on your phone browser. It does one thing, and (hopefully) does it well.
