I bumped into an article about this product on Elle (of all places) and the article did a way better job marketing this product than their current site. Now I'm more open to giving the product a second look. http://www.elle.com/news/lifesty...

And yet I would definitely say this product has not failed. I think the site could do a better job of communicating what the product does visually. I'm not sure how many visitors will take the time to read the 3 bullet points just above the fold. Neat idea though! In short, you tell the service when you're going out alone (e.g. late night walk) and Kitestring will check in later. If you don't respond, it will not… See more

+1 @rrhoover — I don't want to take the time to sign up if I can't even see what the product looks like and make even basic assumptions about how it works (which I shouldn't have to do in the first place; the site should just tell me)

I agree @rrhoover. I did have a difficult time understanding how this works and had to spend sometime on it and otherwise to figure it out. The landing page could surely do with some more info! But was fascinated with the way the emergency contact system was handled by them. A very creative and simple approach!
