What is Kilobaser?
Briefcase Biotec GmbH was founded in Graz, Austria in 2014 with the aim to develop Kilobaser - the 'Nespresso machine of DNA primer synthesis'. The team also founded the community biohackerspace 'Open Biolab Graz Austria' in 2013. Soon after, the idea for 'Kilobaser' was born due to their own frequent need for DNA primers.

When multiplying DNA with PCR, researchers add a visual signal that
becomes stronger as the process becomes more accurate. This technique can now be done with Kilobasers Probe Cartridge, which essentially prints short pieces of DNA faster and at a lower cost.
