Hey, thanks a lot for posting this! I'm the founder of Keygen and would love to answer any questions.
@ezekgabrielse Nice website design, are you working alone on the product?
@buzzb0x Thanks! Yes, I'm the solo founder. I've been bootstrapping Keygen since 2016. 🤙

@ezekgabrielse Amazing, well done!
@ezekgabrielse I'm curious, how long did it take you to launch it once you got the idea? And have there been any particular pain points in setting up a business on your own?

@buzzb0x I actually wrote about this a little bit around the time I launched the closed beta for Keygen: All in all, I probably spent around a year on Keygen before publicly launching. As far as pain-points in setting up a business on my own—not a whole lot, aside from having to deal with government websites. 🙃Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like me to answer!

Looks great. However, the name is slightly unfortunate - makes one think of what people use to get around this type of software ;)

Such an awesome product!. Since we are sending user's information I wonder how do you store a user's password?
@onar We never store passwords as plain text – they are always hashed and salted securely using bcrypt. We also do the same with all API access tokens. And all network traffic is encrypted over TLS with at least 128-bit AES encryption.
