Hi everyone! I built Kanji Modernizer because there was no simple, fast, privacy-friendly tool for converting old Japanese kanji (Kyūjitai) into modern forms. Everything runs locally in the browser, so it works instantly and never sends text anywhere. If you have ideas for improvements or related tools you want to see, I’d love to hear your feedback! Planned updates - A full Old Kanji reference page - a searchable list where you can quickly look up any Kyūjitai character. - Name-specific Old Kanji guide - a focused list of old characters commonly used in personal names. - Highlight customization - options to change highlight colors or use underline mode for better readability.
