With the new Heroku pricing, the free tier (the one that sleeps) will need at least 6 hours downtime a day to recharge. Check the fine print on Kaffeine: Starting August 15, 2015, Heroku requires all free applications to sleep for 6 hours every day. Was a nice tool to have but won't work anymore. If you are using tools such as NewRelic to check your apps health or pings to check if it's still alive there no need of using Kaffeine. Those services already keep the site awake.
