Looks like Instagram is trying to be more like VSCO?

@imkevinxu that's basically what I was thinking. Most of heavy grammers that I know, don't even use instagram filters anymore and vscocam is their goto app.

I'm surprised that they're trying to appeal to the "heavy grammers"....figured their community had extended far beyond that. Think @rrhoover said "Instagram's still too hard for some people"...even before this new functionality. Eager to kick the tires to see what they've done - in the past Instragram's done a great job of offering features without introducing much complexity.

Wow, you have a good memory, @kaz. I wrote this short piece after chatting w/ my mom last year: Instagram is too Hard The introduction of Instagram's new "creative tools" gives power users more to play with, without forcing change on the casual user. Vine and Mindie are following a similar path, giving its core creators more control.

VSCO > I think I'll still keep each app separate. VSCO's Grid is beautiful and I like their presets more than the Instagram filter line-up.
