IDOS: Accounting software with In-Built Compliance Management

Hi this is Joshua Marianor, I am a Vendor Engagement Officer of IDOS INDIA PVT LTD. Let me tell you a Brief on why IDOS was created. IDOS was never intended to be a product that it is today. IDOS stands for “International Development Operations Suite”. ALEXANDER REIFE and CHERUKU SRIKANTH both were working on projects in international development sector whereby they used to get raw accounting data from projects sites in South America, South East Asia and other places, they used to clean up this data, rectify, re-work, reconcile and post the entries online in accounting software at Head quarters. Alex and Srikanth realized that majority of re-work, rectification, reconciliation, etc can be eliminated and the process can be made more efficient by using technology and automating some of the work flow which was being managed manually. This thought process led them to do a lot of research and root cause analysis as to why this repetitive issues crop up in accounting and they realized that there were certain issues to do with human error and also some issues with respect to technology and how the existing software were architected. They also realized that if software were architected differently and ease of use is viewed differently from accounting & end user perspective, they could make a difference. They also realized that the issues they were addressing is not just for International Development sector, but for any business especially in SME sector where there are limitations with respect to resources (financial and human). This thought process triggered the idea of IDOS as it is today – simple to use accounting & compliance application which empowers the business and its stake holders with accurate, real-time accounting data and also empowers them to expand operations with ease without losing control on operations and financial management. Keeping it simple for end-users and add value to their business, at an affordable price – that has been, is and will always be IDOS goal!
