@rickats hey Rick! We don’t own the content. The original creator owns the content, and can choose to list/sell the NFT on our platform.

@lee_fuhr I was the same until just a second ago when I read an article on NFT on the Verge (link in my previous comment). I still don't understand why you want to "own" something digital that can easily be copied and stored, but my guess is that in the near future that capability will somehow be brought into check. Hmmm.

@lee_fuhr Hey Lee! The NFT collection space is definitely a little baffling. But honestly collecting anything doesn't make a ton of sense. Why would someone pay $4.6m for a Luka Doncic rookie card?!? 🤷‍♂️ Internet collectables are now on the scene, and there's already a proven marketplace for it. Our mid-term plans are to build in actual utility uses for NFTs that take the experience beyond purely digital.

@hunrharrison Are creators of the viral content you are minting are going to be compensated in any way? It makes some sense that Jack Dorsey minted his tweet and sold it. It does not make sense that other people start minting & selling Jack's tweets. I guess nobody can stop that behaviour, but the value is not there.

@nikitakorotaev Yes. 100%. Only the original creator can mint their content...and everytime it re/sells or trades the $ will flow back to them. A good portion of our team is made up of influencers, and we're making sure that they are rewarded for their content. This is especially important for some of the early internet creators that never had the chance to adequately monetize their creations because the internet was still in such an early stage.
