Any plans to add Product Hunt, @thomas? Here's a link to our API. πŸ˜‰
@rrhoover Absolutely, is there a QA check or just a stream of random submissions?
@thomas you can request posts only on the homepage and retrieve the number of upvotes to filter down to more popular products.
@rrhoover Done. Bottom position is actually pretty good since folks tend to skip the middle part. Also went for the stream rather than best of to keep the river flowing.
@thomas WOW. That was fast. πŸ‘πŸΌ
Bringing back some memories! Not only it's a fun reminder of old times for all the internet users, but also it can be really useful for minimalising the amount of buzz, clickbaits and huge advertisements in everyday media - as long as I understand your concept right.
@learnuxio You did. The concept is still the same as it was back then. Keeping your serious news reader et al clean from the Interweb's firehose. You can google the history of popurls but here's a brief desc. that sums it up: http://content.time.com/time/spe...
Damn this is great, and exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks for the Upvotes everyone. If the site looks familiar, here's a quick re-introduction: https://medium.com/@thomas/popur...
Great idea and simple execution. Just made it a permalink on my iPhone home screen πŸ‘πŸ‘
@raygwater Glad I put the finishing touches on the favicon just this morning ;)
