Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m the founder of Hubnear. I built this because I realized something frustrating: I can talk to a developer across the world in seconds, but I have no idea who can help me with a jumpstart or local emergency info 2km away. Current social platforms are too noisy, and global maps don't offer real-time human aid. Hubnear is my attempt to fix that by creating a high-trust, "Civic Initiative" network focused strictly on a 5km radius. The Flow (How it works): 📍 Hyper-Local Entry: When you join, you are immediately placed in a 5km circle based on your current hub. 🛡️ Verified Trust: We focus on real people. No bots, no global spam—just verified neighbors and local travelers. 🤝 The Aid Loop: Need a tool? Local info on a power cut? Or a traveler needing "real" local truth? You post it, and the neighborhood "pulse" responds. 📈 Community Growth: It’s built to be a civic resource that gets stronger as more neighbors join the circle. Why now? We’re more "connected" than ever, but lonelier in our own streets. Hubnear is about rebuilding that local social capital. Whether you are at Infopark, Technopark, or just at home, the best help is usually right next door. I’m in the comments all day! I’d love to hear your thoughts on the UI and how you’d use this in your own city. Let’s make our neighborhoods resourceful again! — Ajmal Nasumudeen Founder, Hubnear
