I built HowToFocus because a lot of productivity apps started to feel too heavy for the job they were supposed to help with. I didn’t want another tool with endless setup, complicated systems, or features that looked impressive but got in the way of actually focusing. So I made something simpler: a place to start a focus session quickly, capture tasks and notes without friction, and stay on track without feeling like you’re managing a machine. What makes it different is that it tries to stay out of your way. It gives you the essentials for deep work, task planning, distraction control, and sync across devices, but keeps the experience calm and lightweight. The idea was never to build the biggest productivity app, just one that feels good enough to open every day and actually helps you do the work.
