How Are We Today is daily journaling app with a twist. Upon answering the daily prompt, you are shown to anonymous responses to see that we're not so different after all. We're all going through something, but most of us don't like talking about it. HAWT is about connection, not intrusion. On top of this, all prompts/responses are automatically translated into 10+ languages for a truly global perspective. Answer in Chinese, read in French. Answer in Swahili, read in Spanish. You get it.

A couple months ago I came across a post on Instagram asking how people’s day was going. I spent an abnormal amount of time scrolling through the comments, just seeing people share how their days were going—some good, some bad, some really deep. Super simple concept but it was such a unique snapshot of life and I found it compelling. That moment kind of stuck with me and I thought: this is the stuff I really want to see, not all the social media bs. So I built an app for it 🙃 The idea is simple: every day you’re given a new introspective prompt (great alone for people looking to get into journaling). But after you answer, you get to see other people’s responses, 100% anonymously. The point isn’t to be invasive, but to remind ourselves that we’re all going through something - to gain perspective. Many of us (including myself) feel uncomfortable talking about how we really feel with others, so this format introduces a way to do so without fear of judgment. It’s all about shared vulnerability. Essentially by being vulnerable with yourself, you’re helping others do the same. So if the idea of understanding others in a more authentic way resonates with you, or if you just want a good prompt to journal to every day, I’d love to have you try it out (website & Apple app)! 🙂 It’s 100% free and automatically translates prompts/responses into 10 languages (so far), so you can see perspectives from people all over the world. Please let me know your thoughts if you try it. Hopefully you have as much fun tapping through as I do! ❤️
