Hikre School

Hello everyone at Product Hunt! My name is Derick David and I’m the co-founder & CEO of Hikre School. I had a very humble beginning. I grew up at my grandparent's farm and spent a lot of time playing outside, which helped develop my relationship with nature. My first piece of technology was when my dad gifted me a Nintendo Gameboy when I was 8. As part of our vision to bring humanities and technology together, I want to use a piece of my experience in the US and Italy to the Philippines by leveraging my iOS experience at Apple's Developer Academy and design experience for a startup based at Stanford University, I decided to build Hikre School. We're founded in early 2021 and we consider ourselves as On Deck but for App Education where we teach our students the necessary skills to succeed in the 21st century. We do this by making Southeast Asia competitive through our elite training program that focuses on app design, app development, and app entrepreneurship with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration to empower and equip our students with the skills needed to succeed ⚡️ Milestones so far: 1. Our students recently won a Hackathon walking away with 1 Million PHP in support 2. Hosted 3 fireside coffee chats with 60+ participants 3. 200+ student applications 4. 160+ hours of collaborative learning 5. 7 projects built by students so far 📚 Our 12-week curriculum includes: ✅Coding (Swift Fundamentals, Build iOS Apps for iPhone) ✅Design (Design Thinking, User Experience Research, Prototyping) ✅Business (Market Research, Product Development) ✅1:1 Mentorship, Career Placement, and Global Community Looking forward to meeting each and every one of you! What i love the most, as a student in Hikre is the community itself. Though coding can be realistically challenging, the environment in Hikre makes it easier and more attainable. The school understands the online setup, making all our engagements fun! Ultimately, the experience empowered us to achieve greater heights together.

Hikre School provides you new and more in depth outlook on things. It has especially helped me appreciate the design of things- not jus how they look, but how they move. I highly encourage people to enroll! What you will learn will go beyond technology and will have practical use in everyday life!

Seeing how Hikre school paving a new path in the education sector amazes me. I have always been on the lookout for non-traditional way to learn and their approach especially the Challenge-Based Learning is something that every students will really enjoy!
