I’m the maker of HashtagFile.
The idea came from a simple frustration: once a file leaves your computer, it’s surprisingly hard to prove it hasn’t been changed, and with AI getting better, “almost the same” is no longer good enough.
Most tools assume you’re comfortable with hashes, signatures, or command lines.
I wanted something normal humans can actually use.
So HashtagFile does one thing:
It lets you generate a verification certificate based on a unique SHA-256 hash without sharing the file with anyone, unless you decide to.
