We're at Startup Weekend Perth here in Western Australia and I decided this time to pitch an idea for the Quokka, a cute little marsupial that has been taking the Internet by storm ever since the Huffington Post named it the "Happiest Animal On Earth" in 2013.
This one article alone created a 5% increase in tourism in 2014 and in 2015 the Quokka has once again gone viral, with the #quokkaselfie hashtag taking over instagram and twitter.
For our MVP we are selling t-shirts through a Print-on-Demand supplier, who can take the orders and send them out. We were pretty excited to have a store ready to sell by Saturday morning (after a marathon Friday night) and are now ready to be the first group ever at Startup Weekend Perth to have a sale by Saturday afternoon.
