Reminds me a lot of what @blader's Heyday does so beautifully on iOS, but with a bent toward social sharing as opposed to personal memories. It's live on G+, supposed to launch this week on Android, iOS "coming soon".
heres to hoping @blader will comment!
Heyday does the recording of the story well, but IMHO doesn't do a great job of telling it back, not to mention telling a story that spans multiple days. The interface, since it is mobile, is too constrained. (Don't get me wrong, I love and use it.) Stories feels pretty good, and if Auto Awesome does a good job, it should be the next generation livingroom slide show. :)
@mchang I just got it working today. I didn't like it when I saw it with other people' stuff, but seeing it with my own stuff was pretty magical. The sense of recall you get from the large photos and the motion is really impressive. Heyday V2 is going to go further in this direction. It's unfortunate that it's so buried though.
Yeah (re: buried). We like to make stuff hard to find. :) Disclaimer: I work at Google in Social. Not on Stories/photos, though.
