What do you think? …

Off-topic and no disrespect to the product owner (it looks fantastic from the photos), but does anyone know any apps like this where YOU can write the news rather than just collate feeds? Most news sites are built on Wordpress which is often far too feature rich for most news sites. Are there any apps that just offer basic word processor, video and image uploading, wrapped up in a beautiful News app? Again, sorry for hijacking the thread, it is just this particular app appears to look so good but it only collects news articles, doesn't look like it allows the writing of them.

@exopaul Have you looked at flipso.com ?

@patrick_keane Thank you very much, I will check it out and see what it is like. I have been looking for a while.

Doesn't Apple reject those kind of apps by now?

Sooooo....how can I get this? Do I have to compile it myself?
Osama Naeem
@qiuchuck Yes you have to compile it yourself since the backend service which I am using lets you only make 500 requests per day so it didn't make any sense to upload it to the App Store. There are paid packages as well that allows more API requests but that costs a lot and I am not entirely sure how I would be able to afford it. The good thing about this app is that the front end is decoupled from the backend, and anyone can hook up their own backend service and publish the product. Until I find a better backend or something affordable, the app will live on Github :)
