Hi everyone, I’m Greta from 9& Studio. Good Works App grew out of a question: what if technology could quietly support kindness? It’s a platform for local meals, errands, and small exchanges between neighbors. The Sunday Dinner feature lets people request meals during the week and pick them up safely at a local church or community space. Other modules handle errands and item swaps, all flexible for community groups or nonprofits that want to connect more directly with residents. This is Day 1 of a seven-day series introducing the Good Works Network, a collection of tools for civic and environmental good. Tomorrow: ThriftLink. I’d love feedback or collaboration ideas, especially from those working in community design, civic tech, or social impact spaces. Wow, what a beautiful initiative! The Sunday Dinner feature is such a thoughtful touch—it's a small idea with a massive impact.

@brent_kom3344 Thank you! Yes, I felt it was a way to offer food and community.

I’m really inspired by the mission behind this! I’m curious about how you verify users or maintain trust in smaller communities?

Greta Penney

@amelia_brooks3 I was thinking that people could opt in to verification with their IDs and in some cases care givers and neighbors in need will already be associated with local care networks that have established infrastructure already. The way it can work is flexible based on how and where the app is utilized. Essentially though, it would be voluntary verification to join the app ecosystem.

Greta, this is wonderful. That line, “What if technology could quietly support kindness?” really resonated with me.

Greta Penney

@salim_myely Thank you Salim! I'm really glad to hear that.

The design direction is so soft and intentional—you can really tell it’s crafted with empathy rather than just metrics.

Greta Penney

@salma_ghana Absolutely! I wanted to create an app that encourages support, makes helping easy, and has an understanding of people.
