Looks interesting and love the UI - unconventional. Think a large part of Google Analytics appeal is ability to track sessions. One user opening 10 pages vs 10 users opening 1 page each are very different.

@anil_shanbhag I agree; it's definitely something that will be added to GoatCounter. The trick is doing it in a way that still maintains anonymity.
Martin Tournoij
@anil_shanbhag This is now implemented in version 1.2 (and has been live on goatcounter.com for a few weeks already)

What an amazing tool - I absolutely love its simplicity and its ease of use! It's an absolute no brainer for a small project like mine. Everyone, read the rationale for developing this tool. @arp242 one request tho. Can you please make a general counter of the referrals? Otherwise one needs to hop through all the pages manually...
Martin Tournoij
@ad31mar Thank you Adrian :-) There's an issue for that already; if you subscribe to it on GitHub you should get notified when it's done: https://github.com/zgoat/goatcou... it shouldn't be *too* hard, so I'm hoping to get around to it next month.

@arp242 wonderful, can't wait - thanks a bunch Martin! 😊

This is an amazing product! Simple to use and provides the exact stats I need without being overwhelming. Highly recommended!
Was simple to integrate into my website, the stats are relevant and useful to keep an eye on traffic patterns (which pages are popular etc) on my personal website. I like that I'm not sending my visitors' data to google or some other 'data aggregator'. Can recommend!

I love love love this. Just discovered on Indie Hackers in my search for a privacy-respecting, simple, lightweight tracking solution. 10 second setup on my personal blog and it just WORKS. Loved the thoughtfulness of this blog post (https://www.arp242.net/dnt.html). Threw you a small donation to say thanks.

@caseyjli Thank you Casey :-)

Upvoted. Especially happy with the pricing model. Please track sessions, alternatives offer that.

Love this product. Love this idea. I use for my personal blog, so I was looking for the free solution since I'm not *that* popular. Great idea and wonderful execution
