Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Maxime, and I'm incredibly nervous/excited to share Glutax with you. This is my first ever product launch AND my first ever app! 9 months ago, I had zero coding experience. My girlfriend was diagnosed with celiac disease, and I failed to track her expense to get her the celiac tax credit. In Canada, there's a tax credit to offset the 2-3x higher cost of gluten-free groceries. It can be worth $500-1000/year. But here's the kicker: 75% of eligible Canadians don't claim it. Why? Because the process is brutal with tracking receipts and calculating all price differences. That pissed me off enough to spend 9 months teaching myself Swift, PHP, and way too much about tax law. What Glutax does: - Snap a photo of your receipt - AI extracts all items automatically - Tap to select gluten-free products (takes seconds) - Tax credit calculated instantly - End of year: complete report ready for your accountant Available in French and English because, well, Canada 🇨🇦 I wanted something my girlfriend could use while standing in the grocery store parking lot. No complicated setup, no spreadsheets, no frustration. The hardest part? Learning to code while having a full-time job. The best part? Seeing her use it for the first time and be pround of me.
