    Pros:

Easy to use, efficient, actually works

    Cons:

    not everyone has it

As a student at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, we used Givitas in a class of 500 students that I help student teach. I loved seeing how sharing knowledge and tips brought the students closer together. I was amazed with how fast and thoroughly my requests for help were answered. As a soon-to-be graduating senior, I wish Givitas was a platform we had used throughout my four years here- would have made me much more efficient in my student organizations, job recruiting, and studying!

Hi Product Hunt, I'm excited to share Givitas with you, a technology platform that makes it easy to ask for help and give help at work. It was co-created by @adammgrant with sociologist Wayne Baker and social scientist Cheryl Baker and is based on the ideas from Adam's bestseller, Give and Take. Only 1/3 of Americans are engaged at work, which means unhappy employees and low-quality work. Employees also have a hard time sharing knowledge efficiently--they spend 20% of their workday just looking for information they need to do their jobs. This costs companies billions. Meanwhile, extensive research shows that individuals who are "givers" at work are more successful in their careers, and companies that encourage a culture of giving are more successful as well. So if you create an easy, intuitive way for people to give each other help and ask questions, you make individuals and companies more successful, while also addressing perennial problems like employee engagement, retention, productivity, and profitability. That's why we built Givitas. Givitas lowers the stigma of asking for help and makes it really easy to give. It integrates with collaboration platforms like Slack and Yammer, but unlike those, it isn't built to be "sticky." We don't want you parked in Givitas all day, we want you in and out in less than 5 minutes a day. Givitas improves collaboration, knowledge sharing, and acts as a repository of the best-quality information available in your company's hive mind. Thanks for checking out Givitas, and feel free to visit our website (https://www.giveandtakeinc.com/g...) or download on of our free ebooks (https://go.giveandtakeinc.com/fr...) if you want to learn more. We'd love some feedback, and I'm happy to answer questions.
