Turn GitHub activity into a credible developer portfolio

I built Gitstory after sitting on the other side of interviews. GitHub is noisy, and it’s hard to see what someone actually built but very valuable. Gitstory turns selected GitHub activity into a clear, credible portfolio page showing real projects and patterns of work, not self-reported claims. No repo cloning. No source code uploads.

👋 Hey, I’m Ido — maker of Gitstory. It's part of a 52 tools I am aiming to build this week. One per week. I built this after reviewing GitHub profiles during interviews and struggling to quickly understand what someone actually built. Repos are real, but noisy. Commit history rarely tells a clear story. Gitstory generates a single, scannable snapshot from the repos you choose — focusing on projects, patterns of work, and how things evolved over time. On privacy (because it always comes up): You explicitly choose which repos are included We don’t clone repos or upload source code The output is a static snapshot unless you opt in to resync later I’d love feedback from both interviewers and candidates — especially on what signals are useful vs misleading. Thanks for checking it out.
