Hello peeps!
Github-plus is an Open Sourced Chrome Extension that displays size of each file along with a download link and an option of copying file contents directly to clipboard while viewing it.
Some noteworthy features:
1. Automatically displays each file size in every active branch (not applicable for folder / symlink).
2. Show download link for each individual file (not applicable for folder / symlink).
3. Copy file's contents directly to Clipboard (just won't work for markdown files).
4. Download file while viewing it's contents.
And yeah, it's Open Sourced - https://github.com/softvar/githu...
Any suggestions or add-on requests are highly welcome.
Enjoy! :)
@s0ftvar Nice one.
It's a bit buggy, though. Downloading dotfiles convert them to something like gitignore.txt. Also, can you downtone these icons to be grey in color and a bit more minimal icons? Like this http://cloud.ahmda.ws/rYOl31L so that the UI doesn't feel overwhelming?
I have created an issue https://github.com/softvar/githu...
Thanks!
@mrahmadawais Thanks for the suggestions.
This is a very genuine UI thought. I'll surely consider changing it soon.
Any thoughts regarding dealing with the dotfiles issue?
@mrahmadawais Just checked https://www.w3.org/TR/html5/link...
and according to point no. 19 -
```
If the claimed type is known, then alter filename to add an extension corresponding to claimed type.
Otherwise, if named type is known to be potentially dangerous (e.g. it will be treated by the platform conventions as a native executable, shell script, HTML application, or executable-macro-capable document) then optionally alter filename to add a known-safe extension (e.g. ".txt").
