If you want to have a great contributions streak, do it for real instead of faking it. Otherwise GitHub contributions will have no meaning from now on.

Pros:

Congrats on making and shipping!

Cons:

I don't support this idea

Hello PH! I am a 23 yo solo maker from Greece, the country of deep economic crisis. Just like many others here, I am chasing my dream of becoming an indie maker and possibly make a living out of it. I have been working hard on this dream for about 6 months now with no great results to show myself. As a result I found myself unmotivated to continue. I caught myself procrastinating, so I pulled my socks up, built and launched GitHub Gardener in a single week to get my momentum back! It is a silly idea, but the process of going from idea to launch is very helpful to me. I really had to battle my perfectionism on this one, but I am proud of the result for the time I put it. You can see the whole story from idea conception to launch on a single twitter thread here. (https://twitter.com/alexsideris_...) I understand that the nature of this bot may be controversial, but come on, there are a lot more worse things in this world than ‘undeserving’ green githubs, who gives a doodoo really. :P I really hope you like it, feedback is more than welcome! :D

@alexandersideris I know how hard it is to get a project off the ground, so kudos for keeping yourself self motivated and moving forward. Out of interest, what tech stack do you work with? We're always on the lookout for motivated remote workers

@alexandersideris Very interesting to see your approach! Our stack is quite different (PHP, Laravel, Vuejs, Digitalocean, Postgres etc)
@scotty_bowler I like it! Good luck with your product!
@alexandersideris Really cool, but I don't like that I need to give permission for 'Organization access'. Do you really need that?
Wish I am able to draw a picture with the GitHub pixels via this app 🤔
