Hey PH! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm part of the team that created Gitalytics, we're really excited to have developer analytics in the spotlight. (Thanks for the hunt @jarnix!) Please feel free to leave us feedback or reach out if you have any questions!

@levindixon How does this compare to GitPrime?
@agonbina Hey Agon, we get this question a lot so apologies in advance for the long-winded reply ๐Ÿ˜„ From a data collection standpoint, there's a lot of similarity between Gitalytics and GitPrime. However, the way that we approach the presentation of the data is very different. GitPrime is exceptional if you're looking for 2 very specific things: 1) From a management standpoint, if your team leads aren't very hands on in your code, GitPrime makes it easy to highlight who your best engineers are using metrics in a stack ranked format. This approach works well for some organizations, but not for all. 2) You're looking for opinionated metrics to help you better manage and predict your team (Think Impact Score, etc.). This approach can work well if you're ok with a one-size-fits-all method for managing engineering teams. This again works well for some organizations, but not for all. At Gitalytics, we're targeting the problem in a very different way. We put developers first by providing analytics that catalyzes improvement as opposed to inaccurately estimating productivity. The last thing we want is to provide a tool that creates an environment of micromanaging or 1:1s about how someone's LOC has dropped over a period of time. Weโ€™ve also recently launched a new dashboard that has all of the metrics you care about front and center. Included in our new dashboard is the company health score which is fully customizable and centers around metrics that we as developers have found to be good indicators of the operational health of an engineering team. From a pricing standpoint, we're approximately 30-40% cheaper than GitPrime, and also the first company to launch a freemium model for engineering insights!
